Eternal 93: Record Breaking Weekend in Perth!

Fight Fans treated over the weekend, as Australia’s Premiere MMA Organisation shows up BIG out West!

YOU ARE WELCOME- The first three words heard through the Perth HPC in WA, as MCT (Tanera Nathan) opened the show at Eternal 93: Drillich x Hyslop, this event breaking the record for ‘Highest Gate’ in Eternal MMA History.

The New Broadcasting Team consisting of Brett Bonnetti (Play by Play), Matt Williams (Colour & Analysis), and Tanera Nathan (In Cage Announcer) were ALL on the same page from the beginning, earning themselves the nickname ‘The Big Three!’ With synergy, a key component in LIVE sports commentary, it certainly shone through as the show progressed; each man bringing their own style and personality to the broadcast, while managing to both educate and entertain fans watching from home.

The Pre Lims delivered as always, with notable Performances from Nima Behrouz (def. Paddy Cameron via SD), Rowan Breedt (def. K. Steinokkel via SUB), and Harry “The Michetti” Bennet (def. Noah Staines via Sub), all of whom making strong statements in their Respective Divisions.

But, like any MMA event, the attention remained firmly on the Main Card streamed exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS.

With a crowd of 2000 strong, the Perth High Performance Centre got loud (to say the least) during the Main Card, letting the world know that the best fans on the planet, come from the West Coast.

Former Eternal Flyweight Champion Anthony Drillich weathered a heavy storm in Round One, courtesy of Scotland’s own Brian Hyslop, to finish the fight in the second round via Submission, taking him to 8-2 in his MMA Career. Drillich, now in prime position to reclaim the Eternal Flyweight Title, believes the future is bright for him and his Team.

The 6 Hour trip across the Nullarbor Plain from Sydney to Perth was well worth for Australian Top Team, with Jesse Swain (def. Juilian Giustinanno via TKO, 48 secs Round 1), and Farhood Khalatbar (def. Adam Lawrence via SUB, 50 secs Round 3). “The Hood” winning both the fight AND the crowd, stating in his Post Fight Interview with MCT, “Perth I love you! When you started booing me I was sad. But its all good now brother, its all good!” Khalatbar’s fighting style and personality, makes him a hot prospect in Eternal’s Welterweight Division, and most definitely a ‘fan favourite fighter’ to watch out for in 2025.

Whether I’m cageside or ‘inside’ during a show for Eternal MMA, one thing is for sure, this sport NEVER ceases to entertain those in attendance and MMA Fans watching throughout the country.
